She had started her research career at University of Lucknow as UGC Fellow. She did her MA, LLB, Ph.D from University of Lucknow and is submitting her D. Litt. work shortly. After completing here education she started her professional career in 1981 in Indian Council of Historical Research, New Delhi, a national institution of repute. She is working there as Deputy Director (Research). She has done her Doctorate in Archaeology and published one book in the subject and six books are under publication. Besides her academic responsibilities she is intensively involved in other academic activities. She has been presenting research papers in national and international seminars. She is an eminent social scientist and author of more than three dozens of research books and 35 research papers in reputed research journals.
